About -
Corin Moores is a multidisciplinary artist from Carrollton, Texas. Her work explores the inherent qualities of ordinary materials. While living in Lubbock, she began conducting experiments in hardening denim, intervening and altering the materials’ manufactured intent and characteristics until they ultimately became unwearable. Disrupted from its function as a clothing item, the object is reimagined and recontextualized, provoking dialogue about materiality and functionality.
Corin received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in sculpture at Texas Tech University in May of 2024. She currently lives in the DFW area and works as a visitor experience facilitator at Nasher Sculpture Center.
